The goal of the Sandusky Transit System (STS) is to provide safe public transportation service to all service area residents in a timely, courteous and cost-effective manner in order to contribute to their quality of life.

STS complies with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act and with all Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards and is funded by the FTA, ODOT and a combination of local sources.

STS provides services every day except Sunday and the following holidays: Martin Luther King Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans' Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day.

ADA Paratransit Service

If you have a disability that prevents you from using SPARC fixed-route service, paratransit service will travel up to 3/4 mile one-way distance from a SPARC line.

Paratransit service is available to qualified individuals who apply, following an assessment made by STS staff and healthcare professionals.

Dial A Ride

Dial-A-Ride is a demand responsive transportation service that is available in addition to the STS fixed-route service. Dial-A-Ride is available within Erie County, is open to the general public and vehicles are wheelchair accessible.

One-Way Fare Information
$5.00 all of Erie County.
$3.00 to/from/within City of Vermilion and 10-mile radius of Vermilion.
Children 5 years and under ride free.
Reduced fare for Dial-A-Ride service is available fro those 65+ or with a qualifying disability. 
Exact fare is required. Drivers do not carry change.
