Organizations wishing to enhance public safety and security at specific locations or events, as well as ensure the efficient flow of traffic, are able to submit a request to hire off-duty police officers. Examples where officers typically work off-duty include:

- Sports Force/Cedar Point
- Sporting Events
- Bike Week
- Marathon
- Parade
Private Event - Police Officers are NOT available for private events.
Hourly Rate: $36.51 - $62.43 per hour (2023 rate)*Officer Hourly pay rates vary depending on rank and years of service. Cruiser Cost: $24.00 per hours (this cost is in addition to the hourly rate of a Police Officer)
