US Route 6 - West Resurfacing

The City of Sandusky and the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) are pleased to announce the upcoming construction schedule for the US Route 6 (West) Urban Paving Project. This project is being administered by ODOT, with City oversight during construction.

Project Limits: US Route 6 (Venice Rd. & Fremont Ave) from the western corporation limits to just east of Edgewater Ave.

Construction Schedule:
Setup Work Zone Signs: Monday, May 13th
Curb Ramp Repairs: Starting the week of Monday, May 20th
Milling and Asphalt Placement: Scheduled for the week of Monday, June 3rd

Additionally, as a component of this project, concrete repairs will be undertaken along Sycamore Line and Milan Road. These repairs will extend from the mid-block of Sycamore to Frontage Road C-- the traffic signals before the Milan Rd Overpass. The concrete repair work is expected to commence in June, with specific dates to be announced as they become available.

The City and ODOT are committed to minimizing disruptions and ensuring that traffic flows as smoothly as possible during the construction period. Residents and commuters are advised to expect minor delays and are thanked in advance for their patience and cooperation.
