Property Maintenance

Division of Property Maintenance ensures that all city-owned buildings and facilities are maintained and kept in good, clean and safe condition resulting in a positive public image.

Forestry Division
The Forestry Division is responsible for the care, preservation, trimming, planting, replanting, removal or disposition of trees and shrubs in all public areas. This division also helps to educate and inform city residents about the proper care and selection of trees and shrubs.
 

Property owners may be authorized to hire a private contractor to plant, trim or remove a tree in the right-of-way. Click here to view the permit/application which must be completed in order to receive this authorization.

The Ohio Revised Code requires contact be made with the
Ohio Utilities Protection Service at least 48 hours, but no more than 10 working days, (excluding weekends and legal holidays) before beginning any digging project. Call 8-1-1 or 1.800.362.2764.
